I could be mistaken, but i believe thats just covering their bases for the purpose of legalities. Similiarly to how G4box said that people under the age of 18 are forbidden to play but they let them be mods anyway. Basically it's just legal posturing; They're covering their asses. I don't see any reason to be concerned with it.

I'm a Metin2.it player since 2006.
Since everyone is talking about this new version of Metin2, and a lot of people are abandoning the european/GF versions, I'd like to know directly from you if it's something true or if it's a colossal hoax. Looking for info on Google, there are no results about the TEC-INTERCATIVE LTD. that's supposed to have bought Metin2 rights from you. And on your Metin2 homepage, TEC-INTERACTIVE is not listed among the companies that own the rights of the game.

Is it true that you have sold the rights of Metin2 to TEC-INTERACTIVE LTD.? And is it true that the announced new version of Metin2 (SEA) has features like lv. 85 weapons, lv. 95 metins, lots of maps and tradable item-malls?

I am a marketing manager from Ymir Entertainment.

I will answer for your question simply.

- It's true that there will be Metin2 SEA.
- But it's an Enlgish version for Asian users only.
In other words, users from Asia only can access and enjoy the game, because we will block IPs from other regions except Asia.
- And, we will provide the partner in Singapore with the very same version with Metin2 NA and Metin2 UK.
- So, you can think it's not a correct information that the version will have special items, maps, or special in-game features.

Apologies for not being able to answer questions in this forum over the past few days as I was on a business trip in Korea.

It is true that TEC Interactive have been notified on the issue of IP block on 4 Jul 2009. It was with an interest due to complains from the other licensees. Apparently, the drastic surge of their players have posted a threat that TEC Interactive is solely responsible.

On this issue, TEC Interactive have advised the developer to listen to the players who are the valuable customers and we respect the developer's final decision. TEC Interactive did not at any time move into the territory of the respective licensees to promote Metin2 SG. Our focus have always been in South-East Asia. However, we can understand the vast majority of passionate Metin2 players who would like to continue their journey with a reliable publisher who can provide satisfactory customer service. Hence, we did not turn away any player who registered with us for Close Beta launch.

Over the past weeks, I did sense that pressure from the licensees is deepening and it is a matter of time where such measures will be imposed.

At the moment, I want you to know that TEC Interactive will continue to fight for our members who have supported us. At the end of the day, if you can access into our game server, you can be sure that you have been accepted. It is early now to speculate anything. More explanation will create more confusion. Let us do our work, quickly launch the game and provide you with a genuine answer.

At the least, we want you to know that Metin2 SG is a genuine licensee and not a private server or just a rumour as described by the other licensee. While other game publishers usually do not reply to such a thread and immediately move it to their recycle bin, we at TEC Interactive, are genuine to our members and as transparent as can be.

It's hole a fake shit...Gmail lmao...that made me laugh so bad...did u hear? In German metin you can't write on wispher or chat Metinworld or tec-interactive because they are censored words lmao...those GF and G4Box GMs are just some assholes and they try to sabotage the SEA server.

I wouldn't be worried at all about the Yimir email thing if it wasn't for Chris' answer... If he replied that, something has to be going on... And the person who posted that supposed email might be faking it, but somehow knew about this issue... Competition, maybe?

Is not competition is playing dirty. When gms on .us said we r not worry about the ppls leaving coz many others will join, well was a huge crap. Coz ppls left, but few joined so they got scared and tryed this trick.

If it was a competition they would try to do something for please their customers and let them stay, but in this way they show how much they dont give a shit, the yshow only their interest in money. So i say it again, its not a competition
